Ranch Manager Wanted:
We are looking for a family-friendly manager to take a leadership role on our ranch under a fourth-generation owner. Our ranch has about 9,000 acres including 500 acres of hay land. This position will need experience to manage in all of the following areas:
· Gentle cattle handling
· Rotational grazing (including one-wire fences and perimeter barbwire fences).
· Spring calving and tagging
· Hot branding several times a year, freeze branding once
· A blend of bulls and artificial inseminating (using Estrotect Heat detecting patches)
· Helping operate and maintain equipment such as tractors, hay equipment, trucks, ATVs, etc.)
· Maintaining computerized records
· Managing water tanks, inground pipelines and a private submerged pump
· Supplemental feeding in the winter
· Occasional building maintenance
· Helping neighbors if there is a fire
· Other projects as necessary…
· Must be able to hustle, expect ranching hours, be able to lift heavy objects, and possess a valid driver’s license.
· Must go through a complete background and credit check and offer references.
· Must be good with children (7-12).

· Salary dependent on motivation and experience
· Three bed/two bath ranch housing with a large addition, electricity, water/sewer included
· Truck and gas for ranch projects
· Potential to run some animals on our ranch if pre-approved

· There is a 3,000-person town just 10 minutes away with schools, a hospital, a library, multiple grocery stores, restaurants, fast food, general stores and gift shops, etc.
